Khumbu Gokyo Adventure Trek takes you to Thame Monastery, the oldest Buddhist monastery in Khumbu on the way to Nangpala pass, an ancient trade route between Tibet and Khumbu. Then the trek goes northeast through summer pastures and wilderness areas below beautiful peaks to Gokyo Lake by crossing the Renjo Pass at 17,515ft. We then reach Gokyo Lake at 15,711ft. From here, we make a day trip to Gokyo Peak viewpoint at 17,984ft to enjoy breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks such as Cho Oyou, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhoste, Nuptse, Makalu, Cholatse, Tawoche, Kangtega, Thamserku, and Kusum Kanguru. On a clear day, you can also see mount Ghaurishanker. Then, we trek back via Machhermo, a summer pasture and more commonly used trail with scenic vistas, to Khumjung village and then to Lukla. The villages and monasteries we visit on this trek are Thame and Khumjung, where we will have interactions with the local people and monks to see their culture.

Day 2 Kathmandu World Heritage sightseeing or free, hotel,
Day 3 Flight Kathmandu to Lukla (9315ft) and trek to Phakdhing (8561ft),
Day 4 Trek to Namche Bazaar (11283ft),
Day 5 Trek to Thame (12530ft),
Day 6 Thame village at leisure to acclimatization and visit monastery.
Day 7 Trek to Marulung (13809ft),
Day 8 Trek to Arye (14596ft),
Day 9 Trek to Lunag (16630ft),
Day 10 Trek to Sumna (16105ft),
Day 11 Trek to Renjo Lake,
Day 12 Trek to Gokyo lake (15,711ft) by crossing the Renjo La (pass 17,515ft),
Day 13 Early morning-trek to Gokyo peak viewpoint (17,984ft) for a stunningly beautiful panoramic view of the entire Khumbu Himalaya and beyond including Mount Everest, Lhotse Shar, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho-Oyu, Gyachung Kang. Also, we can enjoy close up view of Gokyo valley and the massive Ngozumpa Glacier. Remaining day to relax to recharge.
