Arun Valley to Everest trek offers you an excellent experience of Nepal’s lowland terraced rice fields to the highest towering peaks on earth; at the start of our trek in Tumlingtar Airport in the Arun River valley, we will see Mount Everest, Makalu and Kanchenjunga Himalayan range in the distance; we will trek northeast toward Everest region in the upper Dudh Koshi valley passing through villages, terraced farmlands, pasturelands, and forests. The people we meet along this trail are mixed ethnic groups and Rai ethnic groups in the lower valleys as this area is considered the stronghold of the Rai people since ancient times and Sherpa ethnic groups in the upper highlands to mention a few. In addition, this trek brings us close to Makalu-Barun National Park in the southwesterly valley of Makalu and Sagarmatha National Park covering the entire Khumbu valley, which is one of the most attractive natural landscapes in Nepal.

Once we reach Khumbu Valley (Everest Region), the majestic mountains unfold before our eyes are Mount Kusum Kanguru, Kwangde, Thamserku, Kangtega, Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse Shar, Pumori, and Mount Everest (the highest summit on earth) and other beautiful smaller mountains that harmonize the scenery of Khumbu. We will experience multiple views of these mountains as we continue our journey to the peak of Kala Pathar (18,204ft) opposite of Everest.
